2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV offers all-electric comfort starting at $105,550

Pricing for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV has been announced, with the luxurious, all-new fully-electric model starting from $105,550 including destination. At launch this fall, the EQS SUV will be offered in three different models, with three different trim levels for each:

  • EQS 450+ SUV Premium – $105,550
  • EQS 450 4MATIC SUV Premium – $108,550
  • EQS 580 4MATIC SUV Premium – $127,100
  • EQS 450+ SUV Exclusive – $109,800
  • EQS 450 4MATIC SUV Exclusive – $112,800
  • EQS 580 4MATIC SUV Exclusive – $131,350
  • EQS 450+ SUV Pinnacle – $111,800
  • EQS 450 4MATIC SUV Pinnacle – $114,800
  • EQS 580 4MATIC SUV Pinnacle – $133,350

Basically an SUV version of the luxurious EQS sedan, the EQS 450+ SUV’s Premium trim will come standard with a wide assortment of luxurious features including driver assistance package, heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, power tilt/sliding panorama roof, 20-inch wheels, Burmester 3D sound system with sound personalization and Dolby Atmos, 10-degree rear axle steering, 64-color ambient lighting, and parking package with surround view system. The EQS 580 4MATIC SUV Premium will come standard with 21-inch wheels and receives the revolutionary MBUX Hyperscreen that consists of three displays merged under a single 56-inch curved glass surface. The EQS 450+ and EQS 450 4MATIC models will have a 12.8-inch OLED multimedia touchscreen instead.

Upgrading to the Exclusive trim will get buyers a head-up display, rapid heating front seats, MBUX interior assistant up front, along with multicontour seats with massage function. Other standard features on the Exclusive trim include four-zone climate control, the air balance package, and the Mercedes-Benz Star pattern logo projectors.

The range-topping Pinnacle trim includes all of the features from the Premium and Exclusive trims, adding the executive second-row seat package, second row middle armrest with wireless charging, comfort rear headrests, and an MBUX rear tablet. It’s clear the Pinnacle trim is mainly targeted towards enhancing passenger comfort.

When compared to the EQS sedan, the SUV model gets unique features within the instrument cluster, including an off-road mode that shows the vehicle’s steering angle, suspension height, elevation, geo coordinates, power level, and more. The head-up display on the Exclusive and Pinnacle trim will also show those off-road display functions.

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV owners will receive two years of complimentary Mercedes me Charge, giving them a seamless integrated payment function and simple billing process. More importantly, they’ll also get an unlimited number of 30-minute DC Fast Charging sessions on the Electrify America network for the first two years, starting from account activation.

The EQS 450+ SUV gets an EPA-estimated 305-mile range, while the EQS 450 4MATIC SUV and EQS 580 4MATIC SUV produce 285 miles of range. The standard EQS 450+ SUV offers 355 horsepower and 419 pound-feet of torque, while the more powerful EQS 580 4MATIC SUV boasts 536 hp and 633 lb-ft of torque.

Production for the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will take place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where the German automaker has been producing large SUVs since 1997. The batteries for the vehicle will be made nearby at a new battery factory in Bibb County, Alabama.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will launch this fall in the U.S.
